I did not get promoted with my peers to 1LT in the US Army. What happens now?

I do not have anything derogatory in my record. Just did not get along with my rater. I was delayed promotion for five months but did not fight it because I was new and didn't have anything to fight it with. How will this affect my career in the future? Can I make this up so I get promoted with my peers?
