My grandfather is going to kill me... what do i do?

So my grandfather was asleep earlier in the day and I started poking around his attic and found a bunch of old medals and a uniform from when he was in the coast guard. I decided to try them on and see how they look but I guess im a little fatter than my grandfather was when he was my age because when I tried it on it was really tight. I struck a few poses but then the seams ripped in like 3 places. I tried to get it off but it just tore more. I eventually got so scared of what my grandfather would think that I peed my pants (his uniforms pants). In the rush to get to uniform off i tore the lapel as well where I had pinned the medals. HOW DO I FIX THIS. Please help me.
