Was it inappropriate for Glenn Beck to wear an original Purple Heart as a lapel pin?

Yes. Unless you've earned that award for shedding blood for your country you have no right to wear it. Beck wearing the award even though he did not earn it is disgraceful to troops who have actually served and been injured defending the USA.
